My FNSI - Vignette

Vignette Blocks 8 & 12

A great stitching project for in front of the T.V.
Though, maybe not such a great idea when the Tennis is on
and with a great game being played like there was last night
as I kept pricking myself with the needle!  Ouch :(

These panels are so long and seem to take forever to do but now it is started
I will just keep plugging away at it.

(Sorry, I have tried three times to upload this photo and blogger keeps putting it vertical)

I managed to get all the big pink flowers done and I started the butterflies.

The next Vignette Magazine is due out 1st March so my self imposed deadline is to try and get these two blocks done by then and be up to date for the first time on this one.

Also, in the last couple of days I have been playing with my Swoon Quilt so I will try and update you on that one very soon.

I hope you has a successful FNSI.
I look forward to having a look later to see what everyone got up to.

Happy Saturday,
Sharon

  4. Sharon your work is incredible. FNSI was successful for you. I took part for the first time. You are braver than me in regard to Vignette I have it all sitting here in a bucket waiting for me to start. I am working on some others first and want to get them done before I begin on it.

  7. That is going to be such a beautiful quilt, Sharon! I always admire the quilts I see that involve embroidery stitching! I almost didn't make it down to this post b/c I couldn't stop looking at your Swoon quilt top, also. It's gorgeous. The more I see, the more I want to make one! Love the backing fabric you chose for it. :o)

  8. I am envious that your set for the vignette quilt. I wanted to do this, but found out about it too late and could not get a kit for the BOM, it's as beautiful as I thought it would be!

  9. Hi,
I am hoping that since you have completed the first few blocks of Vignette that maybe you can help me. I am starting block one, however, in the directions I only see cutting directions for the bird and the border one of the embroidery. I can't find the cutting requirements anywhere for the corner block of the border of flowers. Can you help? This is my first pattern to work on of Leanne's and I love the embroidery, but I am off to a horrible start. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
