"Sew Illustrated" - My Makes and a GIVEAWAY

Today is my turn on the

I can't remember exactly when it was that I stumbled across the Instagram feed of Minki Kim but I do remember being an awe of what I was seeing. I was not sure what it was called or exactly how she was creating the artworks that she was but I was in full admiration of her talent.

With this in mind you can just imagine my excitement when she reached out to see if I might be interested in participating in her Blog Tour for her new book with Kristin Esser.
That excitement turned into slight horror shortly after I sent back my yes email. I had a 'performance anxiety attack' but rest assured, once that book turned up l was at ease and so excited to begin.

This book is so well written. All the tips and projects are so clear and photographed beautifully that I felt excited to get started and playing. All the secrets are shared for achieving great results.
Honestly, any anxiety I had felt was a total overreaction.

My projects.

Have adapted one of the projects to make it mine.
We have a new puppy coming home in the next 10 days so I dove into my stash and found some Pug fabric so I could add our new puppy Elly to my picture and of course I have added a little Bonnie and Camille Jelly Roll tower.

I also have some mini bolts of fabric and a quilt drapped over the ladder.

I have also made some pincushions.

These were so much fun that I may just have a few more traced ready to make more.
They would make the perfect gift for sewing friends so with that in mind I am planning on filling a basket with them for exactly that purpose.

I must say one thing though, this book should really come with a warning because once you get started with your Sewing Illustrations you will be addicted!

From the Publisher:-
Sew Illustrated—35 Charming Fabric & Thread Designs by Minki Kim and Kristin Esser is so zakka. With projects for The Table, The Crafter, Every Day, Every Occasion, and Home, it fits the definition perfectly. The projects are all small and guaranteed to make you smile. You can stitch the adorable motifs by hand or by machine, and you can add bits of fabric to to make them come to life.
Making these darling projects is almost instant gratification.
