Dear Blog,
It has been a long time since we last spoke and I need to be fixing that, starting today!
I think that it is time to do a little house work, clean things up a little bit, bring a few things up to date and provide a fresh new look moving forward as well as a commitment to keep in regular contact.
I have so much to share but not all today. Today is the start, the start of getting back into what go me into quilting when my youngest child was just a baby ..... reading blogs, creating friendships with like minded people and then starting a blog of my own. So lets look at today as a new venture. A place where the old blog meets the new. A time to reconnect with my thoughts and a place to share.
Pictured above is my Love and Liberty Quilt that I started earlier this year. Then we moved and it got packed in a box. Well that was until this week. It is back out, I have done some reverse sewing and I have basted a whole lot more hexes in readiness to slowly stitch away on this quilt. A quilt with no deadlines - something I sometimes miss.
It is time for me to take a moment to ensure that the joy of what I do is still here to stay and time, as some might say, to 'smell the roses' ...... well I would but I would also sneeze so I will just share this fabric bouquet that brightens my studio.
I am looking forward to reconnecting and sharing my love of fabric and thread and some of what goes on in the studio.
So if you are here, reading this be sure to leave me a message so that I know I am not talking to myself! Let me know what you would like to see or know. In the meantime I will indulge in some Pug cuddles as Anakin is at my feet wanting up on my lap.
Happy Stitching,
Sharon x
Your bouquet of flowers are gorgeous, Sharon. I still have the bouquet of roses you made many years ago for one of our swaps.
ReplyDeleteLove all your liberty fabric hexies and fun 'extras'. I am going to be starting my first liberty EPP quilt soon. I have all the beautiful fabric and can't wait to get started. Thanks for sharing. It is all an inspiration!
