Swooning ... oh so close

Well not really, I still have a lot of work to do!
Let me share.

I picked up my Swoon Quilt yesterday and I am in love with this quilt all over again.

Linda has done a fantastic job on this for me.
I decided to just get the white section of this quilt machine quilted
as I didn't want to take away from the actual pattern of the swoon block.
I love the way that the blocks "pop".

If I wanted I could just leave it as it is but no, I have decided to continue with my
original plan and hand quilt the rest.

So with tonight being FNSI, you know what I will be working on :o)

Once these are all done I will have to make a decision about the binding.
Any suggestions?
How do you think the fabric that I have used for the backing would look?

Enjoy your day,
hugs, Sharon

It's gorgeous! Love the quilting too.
And for what it's worth... I see a solid binding in one of the colours in the blocks.

  10. It is a masterpiece, I love your decisions for the quilting. I would do a solid border if you want it to standout or white to make it fade back & the blocks be the only feature. What ever you choose it will be marvellous. Tracee xx

  11. Oh my gosh, this looks amazing. I agree - hand quilting will be the icing on the cake...or on the quilt in this case!!
I think your backing fabric would look great as the binding as well. I did that for one of my quilts and it worked in really well. Have fun with your hand quilting tonight.

  15. It is just beautiful Sharon. Seriously, it's one of the prettiest Swoon's I've seen. As far as the binding goes, I'm not sure... I wouldn't do anything that might distract from the beautiful blocks. Maybe I would pick a solid that's in one of the blocks?
