I have been watching the girls over at Stitch-A-Long for a while now and seeing all their progress on their last Christmas stitch a long and I have decided to join in on their next Stitch-a-long project. I have also been lucky enough to make it on the Blog Roll which is great as I am now Accountable and have to stay on track! This is my reward to myself for attacking my UFOs in my "Accountability" Posts and what should be two other finishes by, say, Tuesday :o)

The project has been broken down into parts to keep everyone on track.
Some block piecing/applique/stitchery and strip piecing each month..............
By December -patty cakes, umbrella, tea, jeans, suitcase,
January -chocolates, daisy
February - ice cream, hot chocolate, book
March - house, flowers
April - tree, rainbow
May - sewing, best friends
June - shoes, cat
July - butterfly, bird, sun
August - chair, heart, present
September - piecing quilt together
October - quilted bound
I am looking forward to starting this one but first things first ....... picking the fabrics.
This was EASY. I am now awaiting the arrival of .......
They will be my basic pallet and when they arrive I will do some more shopping for some more co-ordinating colored prints to mix it up a little.
My book arrived this week and I have pulled some basics for the backgrounds, so this is what I have so far.
Just need to get over my fear of Needle Turn Applique and I'm ready to go :o)

P.S. Any tips on the Needle Turn Applique would be greatly appreciated :o)
did you get the DVD with the lastest Quilters Companion.......I haven't looked at it yet but one of the girls said it was great.......

ReplyDeleteYes! The DVD is fantastic!!! Let me know if you can't get your hands on it ... there are still a few copies at my local newsagent! Definitely one to get your hands on to watch if you're not confident with needle turn applique ... Sarah Fielke gives such a great, easy, explaination of the technique!
