Who holds you accountable for your WIP's that have fallen into the UFO category?
The only person in my home is me BUT I have not been to good at it.
So in an attempt to make myself more accountable here I go ... a very public post of those items that have fallen into my UFO pile ..... not a pretty picture by any means!
This pile has been strategically placed out of site in the back of a cupboard for some time.
Now to what is in this pile ....
8 individual projects made up as follows
2 completed quilt tops awaiting quilting
1 Quilt top awaiting final borders etc
2 Xmas wall hanging
Xmas place mats x 8
1 assembled quilt top with a lot of applique that needs hand stitching
1 half completed quilt top (I have no idea what to do with this one)
OK Now to my aim or plan.
I want to clear some of these items from the UFO pile to the Completed list. One item at a time. Admittedly some of these will be quick to finish and some will take a bit of work so to keep myself motivated I have promised myself that I can start a new project that I am super excited about...BUT not until I make a dent into this pile.
So with this said, here is what I have done today.
2 completed quilt tops awaiting quilting
1 Quilt top awaiting final borders etc
Xmas place mats x 8
1 assembled quilt top with a lot of applique that needs hand stitching
1 half completed quilt top (I have no idea what to do with this one)
So pleased that I can actually put this one up this year and not have it hiding in a cupboard. |
Once I have cleaned away this pile I might have to admit how many Kits I have and work out a way to give them some justice and not hide them away also.
How do you manage your UFO's ?
How many kits do you have that you have not started?
Feel free to blog about it and let me know by leaving a comment so I can come a visit.
Maybe we can support each other :o)
Thank you for stopping by,
Sharon
Oh, Sharon, you are not alone. I'm ashamed to tell you how many UFOs I have! My problem is I want to do every quilt-along that comes along & then someone will mention a quilt pattern or I'll see one that I absolutely have to make! And on it goes! BTW, I'm here via Lynne's (Lily Quilts) blog. Hope you'll stop by my blog for a visit!
ReplyDeleteOur embroidery group has just had a UFO challenge and I could only find two embroidery projects to finish off of my own and about 5 patchwork projects that had been given to me by my mother. So they have all been completed before working on anything new. I suppose my success is put down to having four things on the go at any one time ie complicated embroidery, easy embroidery, knitting and a patchwork project although I have two of them at the moment due to hexagon addiction LOL. It gives me variety.
