A finished Flimsy

"Toes in the Sand"
Pattern by Julie @ Jaybird Quilts

Being my baby is now back, it's first task was to help me get all these triangles into a quilt top.

Now to contemplate how to quilt it.

thanks for popping by,

Another Productive Day

playing with my "Toes in the Sand"
Today my design wall went from this  .. to this

by making these :)

and also this one

So in two days I have gone from being 8 months behind to one month in front.

And all this (plus next month final installment) gets to be added to my blue scrap box thanks to a very generous BOM.  If I go by weight there is approximately another 3.6 mtrs of fabric to play with.

Now to wait for the background and border fabric to arrive and I can finish this one off.
Feels good to be so close to a finish.
Now to go clean up my mess and get ready to play again :o)

Hope you find time this weekend to do something you love.

Toes in the Sand QAL / BOM

This one has been happening for a while.
I started really good, making the blocks as they arrived.
Then month 4 got filled as did month 5 and before I knew it we are up to block 11.
One more to come and all I have to show is the first 6 blocks (3 months).

So this morning I set up my design wall and started working my way through the monthly packets (all lined up at the bottom).  I also placed my design wall in front of my fabric cupboard to try and stop my self being distracted :o)

Blocks 4 and 5 above
Blocks 6 and 7 below

All up, not a bed effort for one day. Going from 6 block to 14 blocks.

Also, after starting to work on this one today I saw that Julie put up a blog post about the
Quilt Along.  See my block :) top right

I am now that little closer to a guilt free start of Julies new BOM "Park Bench" (pictured above)
and some planning for this one below.

I hope you have had some time doing something you love today.

Saturday Stuff

I felt like doing a "little" Applique this morning. "Little" did I know at the time how "little" the applique would be!  These are part of a secret project so this is all I can share until it's all finished :o)

Then decided that I needed to catch up my Toes in the Sand BOM before the next block arrives.

Glenn then took Miss Lily out to the movies (this was her second time at the Cinema and she loves it) so with a quiet house I then decided to start tackling all the "Do Good Stitches" Blocks that I have received and am pleased to say that I now have two completed Baby Cot/Quilt tops ready for quilting.  Now to find some backing fabric and order some batting and I will be ready to finish these off.

I also got my hands on these this morning

Anyone have any suggestions on what I can make?

Thanks for popping by, hugs Sharon

Monthly progress

Toes in the Sand BOM

The next installment of my Toes in the Sand BOM arrived
in my mail box yesterday and whilst Miss Lily has been playing
with her play-dough this morning I have made them.

(I promise that they are the same size)

and here is my progress for the first two months.

Now to work out how to get this girl away from her play-dough so
I can get to the supermarket.

I  love how she sets herself up by sitting on a cushion and leaning against the buffet.
OK, better go and offer a chocolate bribe :o)

Have a great day,

Toes in the Sand

a new project for me
"Toes in the Sand BOM"

It arrived last week and I was just going to "stash" it for a while
but that just did not work!
It is being made from PB&J  by Basic Grey for Moda

Each month you make the same block  ...  twice

Here are my first months blocks.

I am looking forward to next months already.

Have a great day, hugs
Sharon
