Progress can be slow

Bali Wedding Star Quilt

This poor project has been moved from one spot to another to the point that is was no longer in order and a right royal mess. So yesterday I cleaned off the work space and set to getting things back in order and in all honesty I was becoming totally overwhelmed by it all.

After taking a step back to evaluate and then a quick visit to Spotlight for a new blade as there was still some cutting to be done, I was back and looking at those pages upon pages of foundation papers that needed to be cut.

Progress was slow but when it was done I was then confronted with these huge piles of fabric and foundation papers.  I decided to tackle that pile at the front .........  only 128 papers there!

Progress is being seen but I am now taking a break thanks to Miss Lily's and daddy.

Home made bickies and a nice hot Coffee.
I need the coffee!

Until next time, I hope you find the time to do something you love.

  4. Looks like you've done an amazing job figuring out where you are, and what needs to be done :) I haven't yet pulled out my patterns by her - I'm thinking I"ll tackle that later in the year, lol! Get in some foundation piecing practice first ;) ... Do you photocopy your pieces, or just use the ones in the pattern? Wondering if it would be worth it, you know, if I decide I want to make a second of a particular pattern ;) ... Enjoy your week ahead luv!! Bet you get a ton more sewing done during the day when the kids are at school!!! xxx

  10. Sometimes the preparation can be the biggest part of making a quilt. It looks like you have completed a mountain of work. Good luck!
