Sunday Sewing - a find and a finish

Brrr..... yesterday was very cool and wet .... where is this Australian Summer?

So with Christmas day fast approaching I took the opportunity to get into my sewing space and have a clean up. Not that is overly out of control or anything, just that my sewing table needs to be relocated to the Dining room to fit all the extended family on Christmas Day and my cutting table needs to be taken off its risers and also placed in the dinning room for the food and festivities.

Whilst cleaning up I found this ......

It's a little mini quilt top that I made using my Go Baby back in early September. It has been basted for some time and patiently waiting to be finished off ........ well that sounded better to me than moving tables etc :)

So now it is officially a finish and possibly my last for 2011.

I mixed it up a little and added a yellow binding.

A pieced back from left over fabric

And the have to have "Quilt Roll" pic :o)
And what is a post with out a picture of the intended recipient and her new quilt

And please allow me a moment to share with you another finish.
Miss Keegan, my 9 year old has been working on this wall hanging for a little bit and is very pleased that it is finished and forming part of the Christmas decorations in our home.

Now I must try better today to get those tables cleaned off and ready to move.

I am sure that everyone will be gearing up for a busy week with Santa's arrival becoming ever so close.
We have a Grade Six Graduation Dinner and presentation night tonight  ... this is two in two years so I guess I had better go and get some tissues to get through it if last year is anything to go by!

That will make two in Secondary school next year (where have the years gone?)

Take care and enjoy the season,
hugs, Sharon
