This top was last seen on my Blog back at the end of February
and it has taken until now to get the motivation to quilt it.
I kept using the excuse that I was waiting to find the right backing fabric.
Well I did, last week, in my stash!
Sometimes it takes a while to find the inspiration :)
The fabric used for the stars was all American Jane Fabrics from various lines
so I knew that the backing too was going to be in American Jane Fabrics.
I just couldn't pick one, so I picked a few :o)
(Sorry, it is a bit hard to get a good photo with the sun glaring on the white)
I decided to pull out 3 FQ's (of AJ Fabrics) and make a scrappy binding.
This quilt was made as part of the
I'm a little late on the finish but it's done and I am in LOVE with the
Vintage feel to this one.
Finished Size - Approx 70" Square
And what is a "finished post" with out the customary "Quilt Roll"
Now, there is one more quilt I want to get finished,
can you guess which one?

ReplyDeleteThat is so pretty. I didn't even start mine but I have the fabric so I guess it is a UFO for now. Congratulations on finishing yours.
ReplyDeleteThis is so darn gorgeous Sharon!!! I am *so* glad you decided to go the hand-quilted route on this one ... it just adds that *handmade* element that machine quilted ones don't always seem to have - and on this one it is *perfect*!!! ... I haven't started mine, but I *do* have all the patterns printed out, and I have made one of the stars (with all HST's ... in the 12 in size) and really enjoyed making that one then - looking forward to making my own one day ... though that probably won't be until next year some time :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on such a fantabulous finish!!! Hugs!
