Show and Tell from my first FNSI

Last night I participated in my first Friday Night Sew In and what a great excuse to grab something out that was on my To Do List :o)

This is what I chose to work on.

No transferring designs.

Just needed an iron and some Parlan on the back (Parlan is my new favourite thin iron-on batting. If you haven't tried it I recommend that you do, I am now using it for all my stitcheries)

Not quite half way but there was still some stitching time before bed :o)

I love this design. There are so many things in there from Gingerbread people, a teddy bear, Rudolf and much more.

This is where I finished up at the end of the night.

This was designed to be mounted on a canvas but I am not sure if I will go with that option or grab out my "Reindeer Games" Layer Cake by Sandy Gervais for Moda and turn it into a little quilted wall hanging.

What would you do?

Have a great weekend and keep an eye out for my next post.  It will be post 100!!!!!!!
and maybe something a little special for my friends.

Happy stitching,
Sharon

  5. I would turn it into a wall hanging. Can't wait to see what you come up with! I just started using a thin iron on batting behind my stitcheries and love it! I will never stitch without it again! Love the Christmas stitchery! Thanks for sharing! :)
