Gingerbread Lane

"Christmas on Gingerbread Lane"
Do you remember when I rediscovered Cross Stitch after a looong break and
I signed up for these two projects back here?

... and I mentioned that I was very tempted to sign up for another :o)

Well I did :o)
I was trying to be very good and finish the lace border on the 12 Days of Christmas

but, yes there is a but and it is my excuse,
I could not resist any longer with all the updates appearing over on Instagram so I caved!

So glade I did because I am really loving this one too.
There were also people doing "daily progress shots" which I thought
was a great idea to help keep the motivation there.

So this is what I've been up to for the last few days.

My day 4 Progress shot might have to wait a few days now as this little Ballerina had her second last ballet lesson on Monday with next week being a dress up day before the big concert on Saturday night so I need to get moving on making her a Dress Up costume.

Wish me luck, it has to be circus themed.
I'm thinking a "Circus Performer", bright colours, crazy hair.

Eye Candy and my weekend

All was right in my little world on Friday with the arrival of these two beauties.

Ahhhhhh    :o)
Let's just take a moment to soak in these beauties.
The Bliss Jelly Roll was a lovely find on Ebay.

Over the weekend there was a little Christmas theme.
I spend a little time finishing off some swaps.
I think I'm 1/2 a pincushion off being finished.

Also got these out of the Shed. I think I made them 8 - 9 years ago and have been meaning to give them a little repaint for the last few years. My cute little helper got to giving them a quick sand for me. Hopefully they will get the new paint before December 1st.

We then ventured back inside and I decided it was time to find a home for my new additions to my stash.

This photo (above) is my "happy place".
Oh and I'm still looking for a Ruby Jelly Roll if anyone has one they want to destash :o)
I also love seeing two Bliss Jelly Rolls.  One might have to be opened and played with.

This cutie is growing up so fast. She knew it was here Ballet Teachers Birthday
and asked if we could take her some flowers today, so of course we went and picked some
Roses from our garden.

I made a big mistake today though by opening these.

Yeah, like I was ever going to eat just one! lol

Then spent a little time late today working on my
"The 12 Days of Christmas" Cross stitch.
Slow progress but I have made it to the corner.

Hope you are finding your "Happy Place" and doing something you love.

hugs, Sharon

That Something New

This is not something totally new to me.
The last time I did it was over 8 years ago.
For a little bit now pictures have kept popping up in my Instagram Feed
then a little research and a few visits and before I knew it  purchases were made
which were then followed by a drive (Glenn drove, not me. Got to love this guy)
to source supplies :o)

Worked out what it is yet?
"Cross Stitch"
If you have ever been interested I suggest you go and check out
and be prepared for seriously cute and addictive patterns!

The first one I'm doing is "The 12 Days of Christmas"

I have until the 29th November to get my lace border all stitched before the first of 3 PDF files are send and we start filling in the center squares.

You may now be asking what is the second lot of threads up there in that pic.
Well I couldn't help myself.
I have been admiring "The Woodland Sampler" on Instagram.

It did start back in January but you can join in at any time and upon signup
you get all the patterns to date so you can start stitching straight away.

I am also tempted to go on over and sign up for this one.....

and here is the sneak peak,  oh sooooo cute :o)

So thank you IG friends and The Frosted Pumpkin for reigniting my love of Cross stitch.
If you are on IG, search the hashtag "thefrostedpumpkinstitchery".
The is a super cute Halloween pattern also.

Now, not one person is to make comment on me starting something new! lol
Life is to short and this world is way too full of inspiration :o)

Also, let me be totally clear here. I am not sponsored in any way.  The views I express are mine and the sites I link to are purely because I LOVE them and want to share :o)  Now I'm off to take another look at "Gingerbread Lane".

hugs Sharon xx

P.S.  Huge personal thank you to everyone who has emailed me after my last post.
I have not had a chance to email everyone back so please accept this as my
