A couple of finishes and more

My post OP recovery is cruising along nicely at the moment and I have actually been able to sit at my sewing machine for little bursts which has allowed me to finish of this little mini.

And this Dilly Bag. I cant show a proper photo at this stage as its for a Christmas Swap over on Instagram.

Most of my time has been spent playing with Hook and yarn.
I have made progress on my Sunburst Blanket.  My white has arrived now so I can start squaring up my blocks as soon as I fell like doing so.

I have also started my first weeks blocks for the Scheepjes CAL

I do find it best to work on these when I am home alone as it really is like learning a foreign language!

I have also had some Happy Mail arrive in the form of Tula Pinks new EPP Kit
"Marquise"  I am still only a few rows into her first EPP kit "Toes int he Sand" but one day I will get them all finished.
I was also doing some research into "Feed Sacks" when I discovered this

Feed sacks are not copyrighted and apparently it is quite common for fabric designers to take an original print and brighten it and include in their lines.  Here are three examples where Bonnie and Camille have used them.  I managed to quite easily spot a few that Denise Schmidt has used also.
I think that is is a great was for us to play with vintage prints.

Until next time,

hugs Sharon

  10. Short bursts are how I usually sew at the machine. Pace yourself & listen to your body. If you feel pain or fatigue, stop and take a break. Slow & steady wins the race. Looking forward to catching up xo
