Going back to school, of sorts

I have decided to treat myself to a Class :o)

A little while ago when I visited my LQS I had learnt that
Nicky was now a "Quiltworks Certified Shop"
and would be running the

Glacier Star Technique of the Month Project.

I honestly don't know how many times I have admired these quilts
but just never thought the class would be taught here in Bendigo.
Not any more. Thank you Nicky :o)

I have dabbled with Foundation Piecing and am  now diving in head first! lol

The photo above is my colour inspiration for my version.
So off I went to see Nicky, book my place and pick my fabrics.

I have never played with Batiks before so this will be a 1st.

I am excited :o)  Roll on the end of February.
If you are in the Bendigo region and want to come and join in
ring Nicky and book your place as places are limited.

The classes are once a month on a Saturday Afternoon.
Yay, time away from the kids also!

hugs, Sharon

  8. Sharon, you lucky thing, I have seen many of the Quiltworks quilts on Canton village website and admired them. I have bought a few patterns as we would never manage to get a certified teacher here (too few quilt shops). Love your fabrics.

  10. ooo - that's a really gorgeous colorway for it! I need to quilt mine. I made the smaller version in a different colorway, but I'm wading through a bunch of other quilt tops first to get my FMQ feet a little wetter before attacking it.
