By smaller things I could be referring to anything right?
Well yes, but on this occasion I am referring to the smallest person in our home and a small sewing project just for her.
Miss Lily's bedroom walls are blue and sometimes I just don't fell like this room is girly enough. She has white bedroom furniture, toy box, doll change table, kitchen, table and chairs and a pink hand made crochet rug and toys, toys and toys. So at Lily's level their is a lot of "girly stuff" but the walls.........
So out came this.
and with a bit of this
we ended up with this
which looks much better like this
Miss Lily helped me. She picked some of the fabrics to be included. She also helped when we layed all the flags out on the floor and pinned them into place. Then I sewed them and then snuck off and got it hung in her room before she realised I was missing (no easy feat there).
The hugs and kisses I got when I showed her were priceless.
I can't take credit for the Crochet Rug but I did make her the Quilt on her bed. |
I truly hope your day is as rewarding as mine :o)
Hugs, Sharon and Lily xx
