Christmas Quilt Finish

Christmas Cards

This one was originally in my "Accountability / UFO List" and has been in its incomplete state for a couple of years but I am now very pleased to see it finished.

The Quilt is "Christmas Cards" by Kookaburra Cottage Quilts
and comes in at a huge 68" x 68" (173cm x 173cm)

I added the hanging pocket but then came my next problem ........ a wall big enough to hang it on.
Also had an extra hurdle, we live in a rental so I had to make use of already existing hooks / holes.
Last night I had told Glenn that he had to move his desk and computer as the only spot I could find was on that wall and his computer would block some of it .... he was not impressed but agreed but then this morning whilst I was doing the housework I remembered a large hook in the entrance hall (hidden behind a picture) .... bingo ...... what do you think?

It now feels like it was made for this spot and what a better way to welcome people into our home this festive season :o)

This one tested my determination to quilt my own quilts, purely because of its size.
There is a lot of in the ditch in invisible thread and then around all the applique in white and I am very very pleased with how it has turned out.

Off now as I need to find somewhere to put my Old English Pram that was residing on this wall.

Enjoy what is left of your weekend,
Sharon
