When Rosalie first released this BOM I fell in love with it
but just knew that I wouldn't commit to all 9 blocks
so I picked 4 of my favorite blocks and set to making a wall hanging.
With a little help from some friends over on Instagram earlier this week I decided
to add some hand quilting to finish it off.

Oh, and I nearly forgot. I have signed up to receive a pretty little pile of Liberty Fabrics every month.

and here it is all finished followed by a close up of the 4 stitcheries.
In other news. I did a little thrifting last weekend.
I went into the Recycle Yard looking for a ladder to use to hang some quilts on.
I lucked out on that but did find these Vintage Honey Tins so they came home with me instead :)
I've also signed up for this .....
I now have 12 quilt block/blocks to make for my partners over the next 6 months.
And arriving for the stash today were these pretties

I'm currently looking for a pattern so that I get to play with them every month and not have them languish in the stash untouched. If you have any suggestions please let me know.

ReplyDeleteYour wall hanging is gorgeous. Great use of fabrics. I agree with the idea of choosing only a few blocks to complete. Sometimes the projects are too big to fit into your schedule. This is a great way to have a "taste".

Beautiful wall hanging - love the blue. Retail therapy can be really good for the soul especially at a recycle yard. Beautiful fabrics to look forward to each month xx
