Glacier Star Update

"Glacier Star"

I am very pleased to say that the 16 Flying Geese Units that I have been working on for this quilt are now finished.


It takes a bit of work to get them looking like that (above).
Instead of this below.


This adds another 384 pieces to this quilt.
Currently it is all laid out on the floor and the family have been told to stay clear as I start to think about the curved piecing and "y" seams that await me.  I am not ready to share what it looks like just yet.
Might have to save that for the final reveal but to say I am happy with it is a little understated. :)

Here is a sneak peak I posted to Intstagram. It has a filter applied so the colours are not "true" in this pic. 


Anyone interested in sewing these curves and "y" seams for me?

  10. this looks like one of the most complicated pieces I have seen, still not learnt the art of paper piecing but can see it produces such good curves etc.
