Midnight at the Oasis

Couldn't help but notice on Saturday that my cutting table was a mess.
When I was cleaning up it dawned on me that I hadn't made
any blocks for my Tula Pink Scrap project for a bit. The one I made the
grand statement here that I was going to do one block a day for
100 days.  So I started diving into my scrap containers and preparing
some blocks.  All was going well (about 8 blocks cut) but there is a pattern
sitting on my table that has been haunting me for a few weeks now.
I took it to Millrose with me last weekend and walked around many
times trying to find some fabrics.  These three came home with me :o)

Meet my new project
"Midnight at the Oasis"
designed by Jen Kingwell of Amitie Textiles in Melbourne

I am going to "channel" my inner Susan here and give the needle turn a real go.
(Yay! Circles that look like circles)

and curse at the "y" seams!

So far everything except the three prints above is coming from my
scrap baskets. LOVE using my scraps.

Today my girls decided to have a Toy Story marathon
so I decided to join them.

After Toy Story 1, 2 and 3 I have this :o)

So, another project added to the list. Just as well I like
to work with a variety of projects and styles.

Better go, The Block is on.

Hugs, Sharon

  15. Fabulous!! Jen never fails to disappoint in her patterns but you have to get the fabrics just right. I am too scared to try one yet as my confidence in choosing co-ordinating fabrics is not quite there.
