Very little sewing here.
Silly me, on Saturday I decided to move things around to get my sewing machine and cutting table
over by the windows and make the most of the winter sun.
Re-purposing an old table but whoops it needs a new top .... "Glenn"
That's better but I have had to take 2 bookcases out of the room so need somewhere to store my scrap boxes. "Hey Glenn ....... I have an idea" (By this stage Glenn was ready to run! lol )
That's better. My former cutting table was 2.3mtr long,
this one is only 1.5mtrs. Hope I can make this work :o)
The Table needs a skirt now as I have to hide my "supplies" somewhere :o)
By Sunday afternoon things were still in a mess but I needed some time with my sewing machine
and made a start on this :o)
Just to mix things up a little, today I have reorganised the other living room, kitchen and the dining room and then went and made a pressing board for my sewing space.
I am going to love not having an ironing board set up 24 / 7.
Now to go and finish finding homes for everything.
Ohh Sharon, why do you do this to yourself!
Hugs, Sharon
looks a lovely spot for your sewing....

ReplyDeleteI love moving the furniture around, it keeps things interesting and it's amazing what you find.
ReplyDeletesuch a lot of hard work but you seem to have a great place for your stitching, I have to do mine in the kitchen but have a small spare room where everything should be stored but it seems to get all over the house!!
ReplyDeleteyou will be so pleased when you have finished Sharon, you will feel like a new woman, lol.xx
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you will have a great space once finished and it will be so nice to be near the natural light. Enjoy!! xx
ReplyDeleteOh I love the room. It would be ideal for stitching
ReplyDeleteGreat space Sharon. I hope you enjoy it once you've finished, which I'm sure won't be long !! Happy sewing days ahead.

You new workspace looks lovely! I do like your scrap baskets being on your workspace, such a good idea!!
ReplyDeletelove your new room, it is amazing what you find when you shift things around, and as they say a change is cheaper then a holiday and just as good.
ReplyDeleteSometimes you do wonder why you even started when it gets to be a big job!
ReplyDeleteI'd be happy to be rearranging a dedicated sewing space, I'm stuck sewing in my hallway, no room for anything. It will be great!
ReplyDeleteIt looks lovely but its amazing how one thing leads to another when you decide to change things around. Really love those scrap boxes. Hugs......
ReplyDeleteThe extra natural light will be a bonus. You've had a great spring clean in the process too.
ReplyDeleteHa, ha we do this to ourselves. But worth it in the end Sharon, and lovely to have that natural daylight
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy your "new" room after the swap around!
