Speed Bumps

Life is full of them.
(This is not a quilting post - it is a "real life post")

My family and I are going through one of them at the moment.
Back HERE I was diagnosed with a Heart Condition.

Monday morning this was my view

The aim was to go in and cure the condition.

It is now believed that the diagnosed condition is not
the cause of my current symptoms and to cure the condition could
of had a roll on effect (because of its location within the heart)
 - permanent damage, pace maker etc... yikes!

I am now back at home taking it easy and recovering.

The diagnosed Heart Condition has been confirmed as
non life threatening so that is great news (especially when my father died
of a heart attack at 40) and off on
another round of Specialist visits we go :o)

So things might get a little quieter around here
(except when I see Glenn coming near me with that dam
needle that he is in charge of administering ever night! lol)

And just to let you know, there really is no stopping a stitcher,
no matter where she is! :o)

Hugs, Sharon

  3. That's a bit rough Sharon, the Dr medically arming Glenn with a needle. Give him heaps but do what you need to to get better also. The stitching is very therapeutic & we would feel worst without it. You will be in my thoughts! Tracee xx

  9. All the very best in your recovery and managing your condition. My bro got his pacemaker at 25 and is now almost 48. All going good. We have the heart probs in our fam too (both mum and dad have had heart attacks). Its one of those things always in the back of your mind. At least you are aware now and can attempt to manage - so take care of yourself!! and keep stitching of course.

  18. Take the time to look after yourself and get well soon. If he's too rough with the needle you can try using one of yours on him as payback!

  22. Sharon
so glad to hear that you are okay
sorry to hear that you have to go through more visits and tests
    hope everything works out
having gone through a scary time with my father last year where he really wasn't well and then when he was fitted with a pacemaker the change in him is unbelievable, going from not being able to walk five steps but he was breathless to now going for a walk every day.
You really have shown that nothing can get in the way of a quilter and her needle and thread

  27. heee :D You go, Woman, stitching in hospital like that. Must've been tricky holding the fabric with an IV so rudely making your hand stiff and/or sore. I'm so very, very glad it's not life-threatening. I hope they figure out what caused your symptoms if this wasn't it!!! I sure know the frustration of unknown causes.
