After putting my birthday girl to bed I had the urge to sew.
Sitting on my cutting table were my New York Beauty blocks
I was working on Saturday before the "blade incident".
I am pleased to say that my finger is still attached
and my New York Beauty blocks are finished, all 8.
I have not played with Batiks before and for me,the jury is still out.
Oh, and my finger is sill sore and numb but it was good to do
A little sewing. Maybe Miss Mojo is starting to make an appearance again.
Happy stitching,
Sharon
This will be a stunning Glacier Star. :) I still need to quilt the one that I put together last summer. . . !

ReplyDeleteI wish I could do this. They look amazing. I have tried paper piecing but without much success. You do awesome work.
ReplyDeleteIt's looking good! I'm doing a Judy Niemeyer project right now too, and I'm finding it very satisfying. No batiks, though, I've substituted a cotton print. It will be interesting to see how it all progresses!
ReplyDeleteJust catching up on the blog - how cuteis that girl!
ReplyDeleteIt looks as though you managed to avoid getting blood on the blocks.................hope the finger heals up quickly. The blocks are looking lovely.
Your block looks great Sharon. Your quilt is going to look amazing.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing the difference the layout makes, I really prefer the NYB blocks that way, it looks great. Good news about your finger.........sewing is ok but no washing up.

ReplyDeleteIt is looking good - I love how the background fabric has splashes of yellow in it, it kind of reminds me of a glacier, all cold and shiny!

ReplyDeleteI still can't understand how you get such accurate points - they look amazing. I'd love to see a photo of the process?
