My chosen project for yesterday (Friday Night with Friends)
was to work on my #scrappytripalong blocks.
I started with 24 sets of strips to sew together
Done but the heat would not go away at nearly 4pm it was
39deg out side and 26.5deg inside so I called it quits for a while.

Later in the evening I took to ironing my blocks and cutting them.
At this stage I was ready to settle I front of the TV with these and watch the Tennis.
By 9.45pm I had got to this

Still 39deg no sign of a cool change so off to bed it was.
So yes, some progress but not as much as I would have liked.
I am hoping all my friends in Tasmania are staying safe.
Thinking of you all.

Oh no, my daughter is in Tasmania until Sunday. She actually said it was cold there at the beginning of the week. She heads for Melbourne on Sunday.
ReplyDeleteI just texted my daughter and she said the bush fires are not in the area where she is.
ReplyDeleteLovely blocks - hope it cools down soon!
ReplyDeleteHard to keep sewing when it's so hot, but your blocks look lovely and summery.
ReplyDeleteDespite the heat you managed to do so much and it looks great.

Considering the temp I think you did very well. I just read your last post too & have to admit a love of Fig Tree fabrics too. Tracee xx
ReplyDeleteYou achieved a lot of preparation and stitching. Well done considering the high temps.
ReplyDeleteBonjour from France, just popped in from Cherylls to admire your work.
ReplyDelete39 degrees? How wonderful. I'm toasting my toes in front of the fire trying to keep warm...it's very cold, wet and rainy here in the Loire Valley.
