Briar Rose - On a Whim

It was a Happy Mail Day Monday with the arrival of my
Briar Rose Bundle

See the Bee Knitting on the Orange one below :o)
These really are so pretty in "real life"
Originally I purchased these to go into my stash but have since been inspired (again) by posts going up on Instagram. Posts where Briar Rose meets Camille's "On a Whim" Pattern (which I just happen to have, no surprises there).

Pattern available here if your interested.

Anglea blogs over at Fussy Cut and of course the talented Camile over at Simplify

I had decided to pick a "colour" instead of the gray corners and border.

I was pointed in the direction of this bundle of coordinating solids and then a discussion began with Lily. Before long I found myself being "informed" by my 4 year old that this quilt was going to be hers so what's a mum to do but let her pick the colour. Soft Pink it is.  I can't find any matching solid locally so online I went and now it's ordered, as well as the binding :)  (I am now trying really hard  not to purchase this bundle because it just looks so pretty!) I failed. It's purchased and on its way :o)

I love planning a new start :)
Even better when I am actually clocking up some finishes!

hugs Sharon
