Where will I find ....

My crochet hook?

Any suggestions?

I had been slowly working on this, it's only my second attempt at Crochet
so I don't think its too bad but here is my problem.
I can't find my crochet hook and I have no idea
what number, woops, size it was to replace it :(

This might be destined to be a UFO :(

Here is a snap shot of my first crocheted item.

A blanket for one of Miss Lily's babies.

Have a great day and if you see my crochet hook let me know.

hugs, Sharon

  1. Firstly, I don't have it! Secondly, were you following a pattern? Maybe the size is on that. Could you try some different sized ones, and go from there? Good luck, because it looks too pretty to remain a UFO!

  3. Hi Saron, if your yarn is 8 ply, you will need a size 4 hook.
    Hope this helps. Karin.

  4. If it's a 4ply I use a 3.50 hook, hope this helps? Or you could bring it Saturday and I'll bring my stash of hooks and we can give a few a try to find the right one?,it all depends on how tight or loose you crochet?? :) Barb.

  5. Have you checked down the sides of your chair/couch. I have found a few down there when the girls were little. If its 8ply I would use a number 4 hook. Hope you find it because it is a lovely chevron pattern and worth finishing.

  7. Have you looked behind your ear? I spent hours looking for mine and that's where it turned up! ;o) Can't advise on which hook to use... I'm just not a clever crocheter but I love how relaxing it is to do. Hope you get going with your project soon... it's too pretty to be a ufo.

  9. Couch has been checked and no pattern to reference :( Miss Lily claims that she has not seen it! I'm keeping tally now for 3.5 and 4 and one with most suggestions wins :)

  15. Hope your hook shows up soon, it would be really sad for this lovely thread and beginning of a blanket to end up as a ufo. Maybe you could buy a multi pack and the size you need could be in there.
