I do love a vintage tin ........ Tutorial

Today it is my turn on the Penny Rose Fabrics Blog and I have a little tutorial for you on how to repurpose a Vintage Tin and how to make a coordinating Pincushion and Needle Book.

I found this tin in my travels at a little Thrift Shop in Maldon, Victoria and instantly knew what I want to do with it.

I like to have a few hand stitched projects on the go at any one time and as such, I store them in tins so that I can grab one as I am walking out the door 'just incase' a stitching moment arrises.

And lets face it, a pretty tin is always better than a plain tin and a vintage tin is alway that little more special.

If you pop on over HERE, I have a full tutorial on how to line your own tin,

and also a Tutorial for this cute Needlebook and English Paper Pieced Pincushion.

The Apple Template can be downloaded from HERE.

I have already been putting my tin to great use but more on this project at a later date.

Happy stitching,

Sharon xx

  1. What a quirky, happy, gorgeous and oh so useful design, Sharon. I've printed out the tutorial all ready for making the needle case and pincushion this week but can't access the apple template on the Penny Rose blog. Congratulations on your fabulous EPP-ing - what an exciting journey you're on. Cheers from Jan in Ballarat
