Stitching with Friends

Yesterday I was very lucky to be able to spend the day with some wonderful friends at

Everyone was greeted by .....

I love my new Reindeer.
Within the Goodie bag was out two "new release", fully kitted projects for the day.
First up is the Table Runner by Leanne Beasley

and this cute Mini Quilt / Wall hanging from Gail Pan.

We also got some thread for Hand Quilting our finished items, a hoop and more.

Here are the two wonderful ladies themselves introducing themselves and their projects.

(Gail on the left, Leanne on the right)

My chosen project for the day was Gail's project.

As you can see not a very productive day (this is after 6 hours!)
These days out are not really about the sewing but the fun and friendships.

Oh and course a little one on one tuition with Leanne and Gail.
Here is Gail talking about how she does her Needle Turn Applique.
Needle Turn is something I struggle with so it was very informative.
Mel is right in there too (in the Blue).  Don't think this will be her last stitching day like this either :o)
These days are always so much fun and one is really never enough.

Here is a sneak peak of Gail's new BOM.
If I remember correctly it is being launched in a few weeks.
So very tempting.

We were even treated to a little Cocktail demonstration.

Did I hear you say Retail Therapy?

Of course there was.  My one and only purchase for the day helped me transform this unsightly mess .....

to simply this.

with nothing on the floor anymore :o)
Thank you for the nudge on this purchase Claire.

A wonderful day. I want to do it all again.
Not long. Millrose Christmas get together is next weekend :o)

I will have some more pictures to share with you soon.
hugs Sharon xx

  3. Lovely projects from both Gail and Leanne. I actually thought that for a stitching day, you managed to get quite a bit stitched! As everyone knows, you never actually do much stitching as you spend too much time chatting! LOL! You've certainly come home with some gorgeous goodies. I love your new box.

  6. These wonderful days with stitching friends just pass too quickly. It must have been difficult to decide which project to start with. I think that little stocking stitchery will be showing up in all sorts of projects.
