Seasonal Sewing

Seasonal Sewing

Over the last couple of days I have been playing with some
Cherry Christmas fabric and a Thimble Blossom Pattern

A quilt-along started for this pattern about the time we moved
and I had every intention of making it then but it just did not happen
and as the finished quilts have begun to show them selves on-line
I had the "desire" again to make it.

The blocks come together quite easily and are fun to make but after
a few blocks I decided that I really didn't need another
Christmas quilt (well not this year) so I decided to turn my
blocks into Table Runners

To give you an idea on size, finished they will be approx 37" x 17"

So 12 blocks later and I have 4 Table runners.
They are all ready to be quilted as soon as I get some thread.
All are going to be given as gifts and there might even be one more made just for me.

Enjoy your day, another warm one here today (we were at the pool yesterday)
and I think we might just be heading back to the pool again today.
I love this time of year and roll on Daylight savings this weekend.

hugs, Sharon

  6. Your table runners will make awesome gifts, and probably more useful for our hot Christmas time. Warm here too, but not quite hot enough to get me in the water!
